One of our favourite ways to spend a day is visiting and supporting local businesses, and today we had a fantastic time at Ringwood Auctions, run by the wonderful Peter and Clare and their friendly, knowledgeable team.

Located in the heart of Ringwood, Hampshire, this brilliant local auction house offers monthly auctions packed with fascinating items — and the excitement of never quite knowing what might turn up next! Whether you're a serious collector, a casual browser, or just looking for a unique day out, Ringwood Auctions is always worth a visit.

A Treasure Trove of Discoveries

Each month, Ringwood Auctions hosts their main sale — usually on a Saturday — with several days of viewing available beforehand, either in person or online. This gives everyone plenty of time to explore the wide variety of lots on offer, from antiques and collectibles to artwork, jewellery, furniture, and vinyl records.

On our latest visit, I spent time browsing through some really interesting vinyl records, uncovering some nostalgic gems, while Helen kept a close eye on the artwork and pictures, discovering some truly eye-catching pieces. The range and variety always make each visit exciting, and it’s amazing what hidden treasures you can stumble across.
