Vintage Hans Wegner design Heart chair with beech frame & pale blue feux leather seat.
A stunning chair designed by Hans Wegner in 1952 as a departure from his normal favoured material, solid timber.
The seat on the chair is laminated plywood, a material favoured by Fritz Hansen the producers of the chairs and something they were keen to get Wegner to use.
This turned out not the be the case and Wegner only designed the one series of dining chairs using this material before he went back to his favourite.
The chair is very comfortable for a 3-legged chair and has excellent back support from the gently curved back rest.

The seat has been upholstered in a pale blue colour leather, providing a lovely contrast to the beech frame. This item is fully restored.
Condition. Very good with frame & leather upholstery only showing some minor signs of age & use.
The chair has the Fritz Hansen logo under its seat.
